At least two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded during a series of Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, prompting the local Health Ministry to urgently request that the Rafah border crossing be opened to facilitate the evacuation of sick and injured residents for medical care overseas. According to Al Jazeera correspondent Ashraf Abu Amra, who reported from Deir el-Balah, Israeli aircraft maintained a high operational tempo throughout the day, with drone activity concentrated in both the central and northern sectors of the territory.

In the Maghazi refugee camp located in central Gaza, an Israeli drone launched two missiles in rapid succession at a civilian vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuring additional bystanders. The wounded survivors were transported to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where emergency teams rushed them into operating theatres or admitted them to intensive care units. One patient remains in critical condition following the incident. Abu Amra noted that the attack occurred without any prior warning, highlighting that Israeli aircraft have been flying at low altitudes over all areas of the strip.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli strike in Jabalia, situated in northern Gaza, wounded another Palestinian who was subsequently taken to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Reports indicate that hostilities are intensifying east of Jabalia within the Halawa displacement camp, one of the largest shelters for displaced families in the north. Israeli forces positioned along the perimeter of the so-called Yellow Line have reportedly begun firing directly at tents housing these families.

In eastern Gaza City, explosions were heard in the Shujayea, Tuffah, and Zeitoun neighborhoods due to artillery shelling by Israeli forces. Furthermore, large-scale demolition operations are underway in areas under Israeli control behind the Yellow Line, including locations east of Deir el-Balah, Khan Younis, and Gaza City, as well as in Beit Lahiya in the north. These actions involve the destruction of homes and remaining local infrastructure. Meanwhile, mourners gathered at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City on October 25, 2026, to grieve next to the bodies of three Palestinians who had been killed in a separate Israeli strike on the Islamic University building.
