Editorial policy
We write here what we actually do, not what sounds good.
- What we publish
- Reporting a known outlet published before us, carried with its headline, its source and its link. We do not rewrite a story to erase the trace of who reported it.
- What we do not
- Anything without a source that can be checked, an image whose origin we do not know, or a single account with nothing behind it.
- Credit
- The source name sits under every headline and on the story page, and its link is visible. Anyone who wants the original reaches it in one click.
- Images
- A picture comes with its story from its source. We do not put a stock photograph under a real event: an image from somewhere else beneath a specific incident is a visual lie even when the words are true.
- Mistakes
- Quiet deletion is not a correction. What we fix stays visible on the corrections page with its date and what it said before.
